Experience the joy of four-part harmony, performed by women of all ages and backgrounds, just like you. You will be at ease with the friendly atmosphere and be serenaded with tunes you will recognise.

Where do I go?

We practise at St John the Evangelist School, 14B Otara Road, East Tamaki, 7.15pm - 9:45pm. Parking is absolutely secure, as the gates to the car park are locked when members have arrived. Please click here for driving instructions.

Come about 7:00pm for a "voice placement". This is a quick assessment of your voice to decide what voice part best suits your voice and experience. You will be encouraged to participate in the Chorus physical and vocal warm-ups. Then, sit back and enjoy a fun evening of performance, music and friendship!

What skills do I need to become a member?

• An ability to read music is useful but not essential as we provide learning tapes for those who learn music by ear. In fact, a good ear is more important and useful than the ability to read music!

• Passion to sing and ability to sing in tune

• Hopefully you can make most of our Monday night rehearsals!

Everything else is learnt as you go along - singing technique, showmanship, choreography, self-confidence, presentation skills etc... Be prepared to find another side to your personality!
